Meet the Vermin Girls
OUR STORY
Anna started her tattoo career in Colorado. After finishing her apprenticeship, she began seeing the challenges of being a female tattoo artist in a male-dominated industry. For many years, she worked as a solo artist, but always dreamed of being part of growing the representation of women in the world of body art.
In 2020, Anna established Dark Mark Arts as part of The ABQ Collective.
In 2022, Anna took a little pause in tattooing so she and her husband could open
The Bad Company: Cannabis Apothecary.
Later that year she was back to body art. At this point, she added an apprentice, Charlene Torres, to the Dark Mark Arts team.
Early in 2023, Megan Allison joined the ensemble, and the Vermin Girls knew it was time to expand. Luckily, the ladies didn't have to part from The ABQ Collective, and thus, built an expanded space suitable for the whole team!

Now, we are one of the only all-women tattoo shops in New Mexico!
It is our goal to curate a space that feels safe, comfortable, and welcoming.
All are welcome, though we cater especially to the girls, gays, and theys!
